I feel like that’s so important in design you have to decorate with things that you love. You have to bring your own heart into decorating your space.
So as much as I love staying up to the latest popular trends inside the design world you have to make sure you are passionate about what your home looks like. Whether that’s popular or not.
Because we all know that trends come and go. But there are so many things that are timeless when it comes to decorating.

Let’s get down to business and jump into what’s going to be popular in 2025 for design trends.
- Warm Wood Tones: We have been heading this direction for a long time. Earthy, rustic, and wood design has been in style for a while. It’s only going to keep growing next year. Use all the wood you can when decorating your home.
- Moody Color Palettes: All White everything isn’t it anymore. For years it was all about white everything, and gray everything. That’s not the case these days. Moody dark colors are so popular right now. I’m seeing so much black, brown, and forest green being brought in to peoples homes right now. And I am here for it!!!!
- Maximalism: Simple decor isn’t as trendy as it use to be. People are all about giving their homes a unique touch and so much personality. Which means lots of color, texture, decorations everywhere, pictures on the walls, full mantels. Just a lot of stuff in your home without being messy and cluttered.
- Spa Bathrooms: People are focused on self care in 2025. This can come in all different ways. Part of this can be taking care of your body, health, and having a routine to do all of that. Which means a luxury bathroom to spend time in. I’m seeing steam and aromatherapy features in bathroom. Creating a calm space with beautiful design that eliminates worry and stress.
- Luxury Bedroom: A bedroom isn’t just a place for sleeping. It’s literally your safe space that you spend most of your time in. It’s about creating a cozy and stylish place. I am seeing cozy bedding, layers in bedding, and a lot of pillows for comfort instead of just throw pillows. Think hotel comfort when you are thinking of popular bedrooms for 2025.
- Reusing/Repurposing: Vintage decor is making a huge comeback! Which if you know me you know I love decorating with items that I found at the thrift or antique store. My favorite thing to do in the Summer in yard selling with my dad. We go every weekend. And some of my favorite pieces in my home have come from that. When decorating you want to make sure each piece of furniture and decoration has some personality. That’s what is going to make your home one of a kind in 2025.
- Handmade Decor: Another thing that is HUGE right now when it comes to decorating your home is decorating with handmade items. I go to all kinds of markets in Spring and Summer. There are always so many booths that have unique items. Things that I will never see again. Those are the kind of things I love having in my home.
